Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Circuit ("the Service"), a WhatsApp networking agent operated by an independent developer based in India ("we", "us"). By messaging Circuit on WhatsApp, visiting www.oyecircuit.com, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please don't use the Service.
1. What Circuit does
Circuit helps people get warm, double-opt-in introductions to other people in its network. You tell Circuit who you'd like to meet; Circuit looks for possible matches; if both sides agree, an introduction is made over email. Circuit also runs limited outbound outreach on public social platforms (Bluesky, Threads) inviting people who appear to be looking for collaborators to start a conversation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Circuit. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, scams, harassment, or unsolicited promotional content.
- Misrepresent yourself, impersonate someone else, or provide knowingly false information.
- Attempt to obtain another person's contact information without their consent.
- Use Circuit to recruit for illegal activities or distribute illegal content.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the Service's infrastructure.
We may suspend or remove your access for any violation, with or without notice.
4. Introductions and consent
Circuit never shares a person's contact information (phone number, email) with another person without explicit, per-introduction consent from both sides. You are responsible for what you say once an introduction is made; Circuit's role ends at the handshake email.
5. Your content
The messages, profile information, and other content you provide remain yours. By providing them you grant Circuit a limited, non-exclusive license to store and use that content solely to operate the Service (matching, introductions, quality improvement). See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Service availability
Circuit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular introduction will result. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without liability to you.
7. Third-party services
Circuit relies on third-party platforms (WhatsApp/Meta, Threads/Meta, Bluesky, Anthropic, Resend, Railway, Vercel) to operate. Their respective terms apply when their services are involved. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed INR 1,000.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
10. Termination
You can stop using Circuit at any time by replying STOP on WhatsApp or following the steps on our Data Deletion page. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, for any reason — including violation of these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the new terms. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, India.
